Covenant College Concert Pictures

Thanks everyone for coming! It was a wonderful to see everyone come out and cheer and sing along. The selection James chose was satisfying for everyone, from the class of '72ers who remember the songs being written to the New City Fellowship youth who sing along on James' latest songs and recordings. I hope everyone enjoys all the recordings they took home. We always have older recordings available for special order, and the new batches of More Like Jesus and Life, Health and Peace arrived for this weekend. We'll update you on the release of the educational CD of Holy Books performed by James with the New City Fellowship youth choir.

Hello everyone, and welcome to James Ward Music's blog! I believe I will be running it, James' daughter Katie. I will be updating you all about coming events, products and what James is working on now. If you find the website is too glitchy and you'd like to communicate via the www, this might be the spot for you. I hope this will act as a forum and a message board of sorts. Thanks to all of James' fans and those commited to great worship music for Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Covenant College Homecoming Concert

It's been 35 years since James graduated from Covenant and to commemorate some great years of songwriting, singing and rockin' James will be performing Saturday October 6th at 8pm at the Covenant College Great Hall. It will be just James and the piano, plus my brother (James' son Kirk) playing guitar. There is more information on Covenant's website. It costs $5 at the door and get there early! Alumni is fierce about James' shows!

I will be there selling James recordings. He will have a limited number of some older recordings. Older recordings are always available through James' website, they are made by special order. James' album Life and Heath and Peace will be available. This recording is a remake of More Piano Please with a few songs accompanied by James' jazz trio that he performs with occasionally in Chattanooga. He also has a choral album that came out around Christmas '06 called More Like Jesus. This album contains James Ward choral classics like Death is Ended. The songs are performed by the New City Fellowship Choir with guest Steve Smallman singing I am the Ressurection. This is an incredible album that brings the old and the new work James has done and celebrates his commitment to New City Fellowship. The title track More Like Jesus is a sweet groove, I love it. James has also re-recorded his educational rap of the books of the Bible, Holy Books, with the New City Fellowship youth choir. The recording is finished, but the cover art and notes have yet to be completed. Come by the merchandise table before or after the show and talk to me about pre-ordering for your kids at home, church, or special programs.
